As much as I enjoy doing the big themes, the smaller “character” years are a welcome break from crazy holiday crafting. A year ago, after we found out I was pregnant, we knew the perfect theme would be simply Santa. With a little one joining the family, we couldn’t imagine doing any other character. Thankfully, we also made this decision while digging through the post-Christmas clearance bins at Target, so the Santa theme was also going to be wildly inexpensive. How convenient!Read More »

Ho Ho Ho! Meeeerry Christmas!
Carrying on with the “I need festive signs over my fireplace” project list this year, we created this super Ho Ho Ho sign for the holidays. I’m telling you, making your own signs is the way to go. The combined cost of our Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas sign was roughly $40.00. That’s a steal!
For this Ho Ho Ho sign, I painted the entire sign white first, placed the letters, and painted over the sign with red. Once dry, I outlined the letters with a very thin layer of glitter glue, because… why not? A little sparkle never hurt anyone.
The result is a vibrant sign that makes me smile every time I walk through the front door. Especially since all I can picture is Santa’s bowl full of jelly belly jiggling with each joyous Ho-Ho-Ho!
Wishing you all a very happy holiday!

“I only drink hot chocolate in months with an ‘r’ in them. What’s life without a little whimsy.” – Dr. Sheldon Cooper
During the cooler months, we drink a LOT of hot chocolate. When I say a “lot”, I mean, the amount may actually compromise our health a little. But it’s
We also don’t mess around when it comes to the hot chocolate fixings. Don’t even think of suggesting that we just heat up some water and add the packet of powdered mix. Oh, no no no. That’s blasphemy in this house.Read More »
One of my favorite things about the daycare we put our son in is the number of art projects they do with the kids. At least three times a month, we get a little creation using our little one’s unique art skills. At 3 months old, he is very good at making art with his hands and his feet. Haha!
For the holidays, he has brought home some of the cutest footprint artwork I’ve ever seen. Maybe I’m just biased? Oh well, I may be. But! If you have little ones of your own, these are some serious crafty inspiration.Read More »
